Host Heidi Estrin (The Book of Life Podcast) talks with podcasting experts:

Tony Vincent, educator from Omaha, Nebraska
Check out his website, Learning In Hand, an educator's resource for using handheld computing in schools. From that website, you can reach his collaborative student-created Our City Podcast. The program created by his students at Willowdale Elementary, Radio WillowWeb, is another fine program.

Christopher Harris, leader of a school library system in New York
Chris produces a very informative and philosophical blog, Infomancy, which he defines as "The field of magic related to the conjuring of information." He writes the technology column for School Library Journal, and recently helped teach a Library 2.0 course at ALA.

Marv Kaminsky, public librarian in the midwestern USA
Marv hosts three podcasts: The Mr. Nice Guy Show, a fun look at pop culture and news; JNewsLight, the lighter side of Jewish news; and LibVibe, a library news podcast.

This presentation is NOT a how-to of podcasting. Instead, it offers you ideas to think about as you consider whether you want your library to become involved in creating or accessing podcasts.
